in a patient who is diabetic and had LOC, he is hypoglycemic until proven otherwise... repeat this 100x...

learn from mistake!

in telok intan, I

• nearly being the cause of death for my patient due to my aggresive approach! i.e.,2 large bore branula, ABG, etc... he died of PE (not improve despite high flow, 15L/min, O2 with rebreather bag!) he come in for variceal bleed actually... 50% only chance to live (there goes my PPD)
  
• put in Ryle's tube inside an uncle's trachea and see him nearly chocked himself... TWICE! (again, PPD koyak!)
  
• PPD less short case...
• last 2 days is floating days as all pt had been clerked, examined, language barrier, intubated, but never refuse...
• etc...

in short it is a wild week I think... being label as an Indian, 1 Malaysia! =) by one UKM senior and being teach about heamodialysis by an UM senior open up my eyes that once we tolerate their little arrogance, they will give us more than we can imagine...
